Seasonal Containers
Spring Containers
Gardens begin anew
Everyone is ready after a long Winter to add some color to their gardens and containers. Spring plantings in our Zone 6B climate can start as early as mid-March with hardy pansies, hellebores, willow branches, snapdragons, and spring bulbs. For those who like a bit of whimsy, adding a rabbit or other Easter themed decoration will bring a smile to those passing by.
Spring Examples
12” Urn
I created this design for the family of my seven year old godson. I incorporated some whimsy for him with this confidence exuding rabbit.
14” Urn
A standard spring display with pansies, English daisies, hellebores, and willow branches on a bed of moss.
36” Hayrack
I love Hellebores. I planted this hayrack on Valentine’s Day with two varieties, along with evergreen Himalayan Maidenhair Ferns, and pansies. No other plant brings color this early in the season to our Zone 6B gardens.
